Polish Academy of Sciences issued a letter indicating that
Mahdi Aminakhlaghi is
one of the
winners in the 16th international competition "First Step to Nobel
Prize in Physics (2007/2008)”.
In this competition other two projects were awarded as well: Jisoo Lee from South Korea and David Alex Rosengarten
from USA.
Mahdi Aminakhlaghi presented a paper on “Effective Factors in Formation
and Shapes of Mounds and Piles”
The winners will receive diploma, gift, and an offer for
one month research stay
in the Institute of Physics, Warsaw, Poland.
Mahdi is student member of Stasor, and started his activities for First
Step completion since 2007. He is 16 years old, and currently studies as
2nd year high school student in Aghaee Smart School in Tehran.
Mahdi is the third person, who wins this prize from Iran. The other two
winners were:
- Zahra Aminnayeri, winner in 14th Competition, 2005/2006
- Elham Azizi, winner in 11th Competion, 2002/2003
